 After earning a BS Degree in Accounting from Troy University, I spent the next 25+ years working in the private sector as an accountant and general manager primarily in the commercial building and highway construction industries.  I quickly learned that owning and operating a successful small business required skills in a variety of business subjects other than just accounting including management, marketing, human resources, regulations and technology.  Large companies have the financial means to absorb the labor costs of these skilled full time employees; however this arrangement exceeds a small business’s needs and resources.  The best remedy for this problem often lies in outsourcing.
